Set on the private island of Uthurumafaru in Raa Atoll, You & Me is a 109-villa, adults-only sanctuary that runs on a genuinely premium all-inclusive model, houses one of only a handful of underwater restaurants in the world, and has a design language — rustic-chic, handcrafted, warm — that feels nothing like the polished minimalism you find at most five-star Maldivian properties.

You & Me sits in the Raa Atoll — a quieter, less-developed part of the northern Maldives known for exceptional diving, manta ray encounters, and proximity to the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The house reef here is alive with colour and easily accessible from the overwater villas, and excursions to Hanifaru Bay for whale shark and manta ray encounters are a highlight of any stay.
Getting There — Transfers Explained
There are two ways to reach You & Me.
Option 1: Seaplane from Malé (most common). The scenic flight takes approximately 45 minutes and lands directly at the resort's jetty. Guests arriving in Malé before 3:30pm can transfer on the same day. If your international flight lands after 3:30pm, you will need to overnight in Malé at your own expense and transfer the following morning — seaplanes only operate during daylight hours.
The Cocoon Collection operates its own dedicated departure lounge at the seaplane terminal with complimentary food and drinks. It is shared between You & Me and Cocoon Maldives guests. Typical waiting time is one to two hours, so the lounge makes a real difference.
Option 2: Domestic flight to Ifuru + speedboat (20 minutes). This is faster and avoids the seaplane scheduling constraints. Ifuru Domestic Airport is a short hop from Malé, and the speedboat ride from Ifuru to You & Me takes around 20 minutes. This option suits guests arriving on late international flights who do not want to overnight in Malé.
IM tip: We always recommend the seaplane for first-time visitors — the aerial views of the atolls are genuinely one of the great Maldivian experiences. But if you are arriving late, the Ifuru route is the practical choice and we will arrange it for you.
Every Villa Category — Honest Guidance on Which to Book
You & Me has seven villa categories. All feature the resort's signature rustic-chic design — polished wooden floors, handcrafted furnishings, natural textures, and warm tones. No two categories are quite the same, and the price jumps between them are meaningful. Here is what you actually need to know about each one.
Lagoon Villa (55 sqm) The entry-level overwater room. Sunrise-facing with a king bed, rain shower, private deck with direct lagoon access. These share a wall with the neighbouring villa — not fully detached — but the sound insulation is good and the views are unobstructed.
Best for: Couples who want the overwater experience at the most accessible price point. If you are spending most of your time out of the room — dining, diving, on excursions — this is the smart choice.

Lagoon Suite (55 sqm) Same footprint as the Lagoon Villa but sunset-facing, which is a significant upgrade in terms of daily experience. You get the golden hour from your deck every evening. Includes a comfortable sofa — a small touch, but it makes the room feel more liveable for a week-long stay.
Best for: Couples who want the sunset side without paying for a pool villa. Sunset views in the Maldives are worth the premium.
Aqua Suite with Slide (65 sqm) The fun option. Same overwater positioning as the Lagoon Suite, with a couples' bathtub added and — the signature feature — a waterslide from the deck directly into the lagoon. Sunrise-facing.
Best for: Couples who want a playful, Instagram-friendly element. The slide is genuinely enjoyable and You & Me is one of very few resorts to offer it.
Lagoon Suite with Pool (75 sqm) Sunset-facing lagoon suite with a private infinity pool on the deck. This is where the experience steps up significantly — your own pool, your own sunset view, direct lagoon access. The pool is not enormous, but it is deep enough to properly swim and the visual effect of the infinity edge merging with the lagoon is stunning.
Best for: Couples who want privacy and a pool without the top-tier price. This is the most popular category at the resort and with good reason.
Beach Suite with Private Pool (120 sqm) One of only 10 beach villas on the island — and they are genuinely special. Set directly on the sand with a private pool, private beach area, couples' bathtub, and a lush tropical garden setting. The pace feels different on the beach side; quieter, more grounded, with the jungle as your backdrop instead of the open ocean.
Best for: Couples who prefer sand underfoot. The beach suites offer more space and seclusion than the equivalent overwater category.
Aqua Suite with Private Pool (130 sqm) Sunset-facing overwater suites with a private infinity pool, large sundeck, couples' bathtub, and a swim platform for direct lagoon access. These are spacious, beautifully appointed, and feel genuinely private — your nearest neighbour is far enough away that you rarely notice them.
Best for: Honeymooners and anniversary couples who want the definitive overwater Maldives experience. This is the sweet spot between luxury and value.
You & Me Suite with Private Pool & Slide (250 sqm) The crown jewel. Located in a secluded part of the lagoon with sunset views, this is the largest suite at the resort — and it is extraordinary. Master bedroom, couples' bathtub, separate shower, a huge living space with pool table, private gym, massage beds, private infinity pool, and a waterslide into the lagoon. Butler service included.
Best for: Special occasions where the budget allows. This is one of the most distinctive top-tier suites in the Maldives and guests who book it tend to describe it as the highlight of their trip.

Dining — The Dine Around Concept and H2O Underwater Restaurant
You & Me's dining setup is one of its strongest differentiators. The resort operates a Premium All-Inclusive model built around what they call the Dine Around concept: guests on the meal plan can eat lunch and dinner at any of the resort's à la carte restaurants (except H2O), choosing freely between venues each day. There are no buffets. Every meal is table service, à la carte.
This is a significant difference from many Maldivian all-inclusive resorts, where the main restaurant is a buffet and the à la carte options carry a supplement. At You & Me, the à la carte dining across multiple restaurants is the standard.
The Sand — International / Live Cooking The main restaurant, set right on the beach with open-air seating. Live cooking stations, international menu, and a wine cellar. Breakfast is served here daily (table service, not buffet — a detail that elevates the morning routine considerably). The Sand is also where lunch and dinner are served as part of the Dine Around plan.
La Pasta — Italian Beachside Italian restaurant focused on handmade pasta and classic Italian mains. Relaxed, unpretentious, and consistently praised in guest reviews. One of the most popular dinner spots on the island.
Rising Sun — Japanese / Teppanyaki Theatrical teppanyaki dining where chefs cook at your table. The quality of the Japanese food is higher than you might expect from a remote island resort — the sushi and sashimi are genuinely good.
Sushi Bar A newer addition to the dining lineup, opened in late 2025. Included in the Premium All-Inclusive plan.
Green Carpet — Healthy / Poolside Light, healthy dishes served by the pool. The right choice for a relaxed midday meal with lagoon views without the heaviness of a full restaurant lunch.
Cheers Bar The social hub of the island. Sunset cocktails, live band nights, DJ sets, and the starting point for evening entertainment.
H2O by Andrea Berton — Underwater Fine Dining This is the headline dining experience and worth a section of its own.
H2O is a fully submerged underwater restaurant, located six metres below the surface of the lagoon and approximately 100 metres from shore. The entire structure is encased in acrylic glass, giving diners a 360-degree view of the surrounding reef and marine life. Maximum capacity is 20 guests, seated in couples across nine tables.
The menu is curated by Italian Michelin-starred chef Andrea Berton — H2O is the only underwater restaurant in the Maldives supervised by a Michelin-starred chef. The menu changes regularly and is a multi-course set menu of Italian-seafood fusion. The restaurant is accessible by lift, making it one of the few underwater dining experiences in the Maldives with proper accessibility.
H2O is not included in the All-Inclusive plan and must be reserved in advance. This is one of the most sought-after dining reservations in the Maldives, so book early — especially if you want the dinner seating, which allows you to watch the marine life transition from daylight to darkness as you eat.
Seatings: Lunch at 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Dinner at 6:30pm and 9:30pm.

What to Do at You & Me
You & Me is designed for slowing down, but there is more to do here than the brochure suggests.
Diving and Snorkelling Raa Atoll is one of the best diving locations in the Maldives. The resort operates a fully equipped, PADI-certified dive centre with courses for every level — from beginners through to advanced open water. The house reef on the east side of the island is excellent for snorkelling directly from your villa, with healthy coral and regular sightings of reef sharks, rays, turtles, and colourful reef fish. Equipment for snorkelling, kayaking, and paddleboarding is complimentary.
Hanifaru Bay — Whale Sharks and Manta Rays One of the main advantages of You & Me's location in Raa Atoll is its proximity to Hanifaru Bay in the neighbouring Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. During the southwest monsoon season (roughly June to November), Hanifaru Bay becomes one of the largest known feeding stations for manta rays in the world, with gatherings of up to 200 mantas and regular whale shark appearances. The resort organises excursions to Hanifaru Bay — this is a bucket-list marine encounter and one of the strongest reasons to choose a Raa Atoll resort.
Water Sports Jet skiing, flyboarding, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and parasailing are all available through the water sports centre. Not all activities suit every guest, but the range means there is always something active to do between meals.
Spa — You & Me Spa by Elizabeth Arden PRO Four overwater treatment bungalows suspended above the lagoon, using Elizabeth Arden PRO and HESITO wellness products. Glass floor panels in the treatment rooms let you watch marine life beneath you during your session. Couples' treatments are available.
Excursions Sunset dolphin cruises, big game fishing, local island tours, private sandbank picnics, and traditional Maldivian sunset fishing. The sandbank excursion is a must — an empty stretch of white sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean, set up privately for two.

Entertainment Every evening at You & Me is different. The resort programmes live band nights, DJ sets, Maldivian cultural shows, White Parties, Glow Disco Nights, cinema under the stars, sandbank parties, and karaoke. For an adults-only resort, the evening atmosphere is surprisingly vibrant.

When to Visit
The Maldives has two seasons that matter.
Dry season (November to April): The classic high season. Clear skies, calm seas, excellent visibility for diving and snorkelling. Peak pricing runs from mid-December to mid-January (festive season) and February (honeymoon season). March and April offer the best balance of dry weather and lower rates.
Wet season / Green season (May to October): Lower rates, fewer guests, and surprisingly good weather in between occasional rain showers. The southwest monsoon brings the manta ray season to Hanifaru Bay (June to November), making this an excellent time for marine encounters. The resort's Premium All-Inclusive model means you are never stuck if rain arrives — you are inside one of six restaurants, not waiting out weather with nothing to do.
IM tip: For the best value at You & Me, target the shoulder months: late April, May, or early November. You get reduced rates, a quieter island, and the tail end (or beginning) of manta season.
