One of the very few alcohol-free resorts in the Maldives. All food is halal. Designed with Muslim travelers in mind from the ground up. Prayer mats in every room.
Atmosphere Kanifushi
Lhaviyani Atoll
Halal-certified kitchen. The Just Veg restaurant offers an all-vegetarian menu that is entirely halal. Large villas with good family privacy.
SAii Lagoon Maldives
South Male Atoll
Part of CROSSROADS complex. Family-friendly with halal options at all restaurants. Close to Male (15 min speedboat). Easy access to local mosque on nearby Hulhumale.
OBLU Nature Helengeli
North Male Atoll
All-inclusive resort with halal food options at every meal. Great house reef for snorkeling. Budget-friendly for the quality. 50 minutes by speedboat from Male.

Suhoor (Pre-Dawn Meal)
Most resorts will prepare early morning meals if requested in advance. Fiyavalhu offers this as standard. Others require 24-hour notice.
Iftar Timing
Sunset in the Maldives is around 6:00 PM year-round (minimal seasonal variation near the equator). Resorts can arrange private iftar dinners on your villa deck or at the restaurant.
Private Dining During Fasting
If you prefer not to be around others eating and drinking during the day, in-villa dining and private pool villas let you stay secluded. Fiyavalhu is ideal since the entire resort observes the same schedule.
Prayer Facilities
Fiyavalhu and Adaaran have dedicated prayer rooms. Other resorts provide prayer mats and qibla direction cards on request. Staff islands (where Maldivian employees live) always have a mosque, but guest access varies.
Ramadan Dates
Ramadan follows the Islamic lunar calendar. In 2026, it falls approximately in February to March. Shoulder season rates often apply, making it a good time for value.
