Around this time of the year, Maldivian beaches are breathtakingly beautiful as bioluminescent planktons locally known as ‘redhan’ glow up the beaches in bright blue colors. These planktons make it feel like stars from the night sky flew down to the Earth as they sparkle at your feet.

Although it’s good to get a picture of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, photos and videos really can’t capture the true joy of experiencing this phenomenon in real life. As they say, some colors and beauties can only truly be seen through your very own eyes.
