Which Maldives resorts can be bought out?

Smaller boutique resorts (typically under 100 villas) are realistically full-buyout-able. Larger resorts work as committed group blocks rather than full buyouts. The list above shows the resorts we work with most — from 26-villa boutique (The Nautilus) through to 500-villa multi-format resorts (Siyam World) suited to larger group blocks.
How much does a Maldives island buyout cost?

Indicative ranges (3-night minimum, full island, in season): value resorts $150,000–$400,000; premium 5-star $400,000–$1.5M; ultra-luxury $1.5M+. Real numbers depend on dates, season, villa count, meal plan, and additional events. We send a precise quote within 48 hours of receiving your brief.
What's the difference between a buyout and a group booking?

A buyout = the entire resort is yours; no other guests on the island. A group booking = your party shares the resort with other guests but holds a contiguous block of villas, often with reserved dining tables or a private event space. Buyouts start meaningfully above $150k; group bookings start around $30k for 10–20 villas.
What's the minimum group size for a Maldives resort buyout?

Resorts typically require the booking to cover at least 75–90% of villa inventory to release the whole island. A 26-villa resort needs around 20 villas committed (≈40 guests minimum); a 90-villa resort needs 70+ villas (≈140 guests minimum).
How far in advance should we book a Maldives buyout?

9–18 months ahead for peak season (December–March), 6–9 months for shoulder season. The smallest and most sought-after resorts book full-resort dates 12–24 months out. Shorter lead times are possible during May–October.
Can we host a wedding alongside a buyout?

Yes — a common pairing. A buyout for the wedding weekend lets you host symbolic ceremonies, gala dinners, sandbank parties, and morning yoga without other guests in the frame. We coordinate the buyout on top of the same wedding services available on /weddings/.
Do you handle corporate retreats and MICE events?

Yes. Several resorts have purpose-built conference facilities for 100–250 delegates (Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Crossroads Maldives, Siyam World). For pure MICE we filter to resorts with meeting space + AV + breakout rooms; for incentive travel (rewards trips, no meetings) the whole boutique-resort list applies.
