How much does a Maldives wedding cost? +
A symbolic ceremony starts from around $1,500 for just the two of you. Classic destination weddings for 10–40 guests typically cost $8,000–$20,000 at mid-range resorts. Luxury multi-day celebrations reach $30,000–$80,000+. The final cost depends on guest count, resort tier, ceremony type, and add-ons. We quote all-in — ceremony, stay, transfers, coordination — so you see the real number upfront.
Can you legally marry in the Maldives? +
International couples cannot legally marry in the Maldives — Maldivian law restricts legal civil marriage to nationals. All resort weddings are symbolic ceremonies (with the same emotional weight). Most couples register legally at home before or after the Maldives celebration. No paperwork or witnesses are required for the symbolic ceremony.
What does IM Maldives handle for a wedding? +

How far in advance should we book? +
6–12 months for peak season (December–April). 3–6 months for wet season or smaller groups. Larger weddings (40+ guests) need more lead time for group accommodation. We can arrange short-notice weddings too — availability permitting.
