About this trip

The local-island Maldives is the Maldives most resort guests never see — village life, working harbours, Maldivian food cooked at home, and reefs that aren't anyone's 'house reef.' Baa is the right atoll for this because Hanifaru Bay (the UNESCO biosphere manta-and-whale-shark hotspot) is on its boundary, and our guesthouse partners run small-group snorkel boats out to it in season (June-November). Local islands are alcohol-free — worth flagging — but the trade-off is a much more grounded experience and a price tag a fifth of a resort stay.

What does Baa Atoll Local Island Adventure cost all-in? +

The headline is from $950 per couple, with Maldives 17% TGST + 10% service charge already included. The final number depends on your nationality, travel dates, and the current offers we have with the resort — different passports get different rates, and we usually have a layered offer running (early-bird, honeymoon credit, or stay-longer-save-more). Send us your dates and we'll come back within 24 hours with the lowest current price and a fully itemised quote.

Can I change my dates after booking? +

Yes. Free date changes up to 60 days before arrival on most packages, subject to resort availability. Inside 60 days, change fees depend on the resort's policy — we'll always check with them on your behalf before charging anything.

What's not included? +

International flights, travel insurance, optional excursions, upgraded meal plans, private dining, diving, watersports and personal expenses aren't bundled — but we can arrange flights and quote any add-on on request. Maldives 17% TGST + 10% service charge are already included in the headline package price.

How do I book? +

Send us an enquiry with your dates and travellers. We come back within 24 hours with a tailored quote, hold the rooms for 48 hours while you decide, and take a 25% deposit to confirm. Balance is due 60 days before arrival.
