Booking a photo session can feel hectic if you’re unsure about where to start, what questions to ask and how to get in touch with the studio.  For some, it’s easier to get in touch with a photographer and figure out the exact package you want and work through the questions you have. Others prefer to go through the packages on their own and make decisions based on their preferences. Regardless, here are some of the frequently asked questions, so that your next booking with IM Studio is made easier than ever.

 

01. How many days in advance do I need to book my photoshoot?

When planning your vacation to the Maldives, it’s always a good idea to consider pre-planning your photoshoot as well. There are certain benefits to pre-planning and pre-booking your shoot. For starters, this allows guests to select the perfect date that would work best for their vacation schedule. Additionally, it also gives you more time to consider and evaluate which photo package would work best for you as well as give you time to discuss any queries with our IM studio agents. 

 

On top of this, IM Studio runs promotions where pre-booking guests are entitled to a 10% set discount on all packages! 

 

You can book your photo shoot on arrival, but it’s best to pre-book your package as you might not get the preferred time. If the studio is fully booked during your stay, you might miss the chance to get in a good photo shoot at the beautiful location you’re staying at.

 

02. How can we book a photoshoot?

 

If you have seen the IM Studio Instagram page and wanted to book a shoot, there are several ways you can go about it. 

 

For starters, you can reach out via Instagram DM’s for queries and bookings. But this is not the only method as you can also talk to our agents through WhatsApp as well as reach out to us via mail at  [email protected]. Additionally, if you already happen to be on our website, you can also go through our packages and book straight from the website.

 

03. Which packages include drone photography?

One of the most commonly asked questions is which packages include Drone photography. Out of the four packages that are offered by IM Studio, Drone photography is included in the Aerial package as well as the Memories packages. 

 

But what many do not know is that you can include Drone photography as an add-on as well. If you’re going for a mini shoot or even a playful shoot but still want those beautiful drone shots showing off the amazing location, just customise your package and add on drone photography! 

 

04. What are the packages offered by us?

 

There are four main photo packages offered by IM Studio that you can view here. 

 

You can also customise any of these packages to your liking by talking to our agents and getting the add-ons. With a customised package, you can select any add-ons that cater to the needs of you and your loved ones. Whether that is a few shots at an underwater restaurant or a few pictures during golden hour, we’ve got you covered!

 

05. Can we split our session?

Sometimes when you’re taking a look through the Aerial package and Memories package you might wonder if you have to do your shoot all in one go as these packages offer more photo time. This is something you do not need to worry about as any package above Playful can be split into a different session. 

 

This way you can do one shoot in the morning and change into a different outfit for your next photo session. This also allows you to book a watersports activity or an excursion and get photos of your fun moments but at the same time have the chance to take pictures in your evening gown during sunset hours as well.

 

06. Can you book any resorts with IM Studio? 

 

We work in partnership with many different resorts in the Maldives for Ad-hoc shoots for our guests. We also have IM Studio outlets and in-house teams in some resorts such as Finolhu, You & Me Maldives as well as Cocoon Maldives.

07. Can I book Wedding packages with us? 

Booking a wedding in the Maldives is a goal for many as the Maldives provides one of the best spots for a destination wedding. If you’re planning to have your wedding in the Maldives, you can reach out to us and our agents can help you plan and book the perfect wedding package for you!

08. Can I book the entire holiday with Photography or Weddings? 

Yes, you can. Planning and booking your entire holiday in advance is always better than waiting last minute. So when it comes to booking solo trips, trips with your friends or family or even your weddings, we are always happy to help you through the enquiries.

 

Pre-booking can also be helpful when you’re planning to take a photo shoot as you can pick the perfect date and package that works best for your trip.

09. Can I rent GoPro or Drone? 

If you’re interested in renting GoPro from our studio, we do offer this service. You can enquire about the availability pre-arrival by talking to our agents or if you’re at a resort our studio is based in you can always drop by the studio and check for availability.

 

For drone rentals, we would recommend working with our studio staff to get the best drone shots. As our team members are trained drone pilots with permits to fly, they are familiar with working with drones. In addition to booking an Aerial shoot for drone photography, guests can also book drone photos and videos separately without booking any other photo packages.

 

10. If I bring my own drone, can you help me Fly it? Do you need special permits? 

 

If you’re a drone enthusiast and want to get some beautiful drone shots of the resort you’re staying at, we highly recommend you work with our colleagues at the studio. At the locations we are based, we have trained professional drone pilots that can help you get the best drone pictures. Our team members hold permits to fly the drone and work closely with the security team at each resort to ensure safety and security while drone footage is being taken.

 

11. Do you provide/Rent Wedding Dresses & Suits? 

For your big day in the Maldives, choosing the best wedding dress and suit is as important as the pictures. And while the wedding dresses and suites that are tailored to make you look your best are the most beautiful for your wedding pictures, you can also rent their wedding dresses and suites from the Maldives.

12. Can I book a photoshoot through my travel agent or Resort? 

 

If you’re booking your holiday through a travel agent or through the resort and want to get it all done in one go, of course, you can.
