What to Expect
November is often the sweetest spot in the Maldives calendar. The southwest monsoon has retreated, rainfall drops below 10 days, sunshine returns reliably, sea conditions calm, and visibility for snorkelling/diving recovers. Many travellers in the know book exactly this month.
Diwali sometimes falls early November. End-of-month rates climb sharply as the December peak approaches. Booking by mid-October gives the best balance of value and selection. Some resorts run 'Pre-Christmas Escape' packages with shoulder rates but holiday-season amenities.
