September is the transition between wet-season peak and the return to dry conditions. Rainfall begins to ease (12 rain days), sunshine increases (8 hours/day), and winds soften. The plankton-rich water continues to draw mantas through to month-end in most years.
European families return to school, dropping demand and crowd levels significantly. Resorts run special September-only honeymoon packages. Air travel from major source markets is at its cheapest. This is the value sweet spot for couples flexible on dates.
